AI Note Enhancement

AI Note Enhancement transforms rough field notes into professional, detailed documentation. Field workers can write quick notes in their own words — using trade abbreviations, shorthand, and informal language — and the AI rewrites them into clear, client-ready reports while preserving all technical details.

How It Works​

From the Mobile App​

  1. Worker creates a note on a job (typed or voice-to-text).
  2. After saving, taps the AI Rewrite button.
  3. The AI generates a polished version of the note.
  4. Worker reviews and accepts or edits the rewrite.
  5. Both the original and rewritten versions are saved.

From the Desktop​

  1. Open a job's Notes tab.
  2. Click any note to view it.
  3. Click the AI Rewrite button.
  4. Review the enhanced version.
  5. Accept, edit, or discard.

What the AI Preserves​

The AI never changes:

  • Technical accuracy — measurements, quantities, and specifications stay exact
  • Safety observations — all hazards and safety concerns are retained
  • Worker attribution — who wrote the note and when
  • Photos and attachments — original media is preserved

Piping Work Note​

Original:

Got the rest of the 4" branches done today. Had to rework that section by the pump — previous crew put fiberglass where it should've been cal-sil (temp is over 500F). Used 2" thick cal-sil with SS bands. Also patched the 8" header where the jacket was dented.

AI Enhanced:

Completed insulation on the remaining 4-inch branch lines. Identified and corrected a previous installation error near the pump station — fiberglass insulation had been installed on a line operating above 500°F, which exceeds fiberglass temperature limits. Replaced with 2-inch thick calcium silicate insulation secured with stainless steel banding. Additionally, repaired the metal jacketing on the 8-inch header where damage (denting) was observed.

Inspection Note​

Original:

Checked the cold storage area. Vapor barrier looks good on the main runs but there's some issues at the elbows — tape is peeling on 3 spots. Gonna need adhesive and new tape. Temps reading good, no condensation.

AI Enhanced:

Conducted inspection of the cold storage area insulation system. The vapor barrier on the main pipe runs is intact and in good condition. However, three locations were identified at elbow fittings where the vapor barrier tape is delaminating. These areas require adhesive reapplication and new sealing tape to maintain the vapor barrier integrity. Temperature readings are within specification with no observed condensation issues.

Voice-to-Text + AI​

The mobile app supports voice-to-text note creation. Combined with AI enhancement:

  1. Worker speaks their note into the phone.
  2. Voice-to-text converts speech to raw text.
  3. AI cleans up transcription errors and enhances the language.
  4. The result is a professional note created entirely hands-free.

This is valuable for workers wearing gloves, working at height, or in environments where typing is impractical.
